• A sleek, stay-put backing: Chilewich rugs are cushioned with a commercial-grade latex backing that prevents slipping and curling. This creates a protective barrier for your flooring, as water is less likely to penetrate the surface of the rug.
• Easy maintenance: sweep or vacuum to remove loose dirt or wipe clean with soap, water, and a soft sponge or cloth. It is recommended to flip the mat occasionally to allow the backing and surface beneath it to dry.
• Expanded size range: the Chilewich made-to-order rug program offers custom, extra-large sized rugs that can be designed to meet your specifications. Refer to the Chilewich website or your customer service representative for more information.
• Protection against mold and mildew: strengthened by Microban™, these mats resist stain- and odor-causing microbial growth. This protection works continuously for the lifetime of the product.
• Better for people and the planet: the phthalate-free extruded yarn uses vegetable-based compounds in place of petroleum-based plasticizers. All Chilewich products contain at least 18% rapidly renewable content.
• Customizable: we are able to accommodate special shape requests with the receipt of a CAD design. Lead time is approximately 3-4 weeks for custom shapes and sizes.
• Durable: suitable for use on floors with radiant heating, provided that the floor temperature does not exceed 85°F/30°C. Self-bound edge prevents fraying and provides clean, finished look.
